CAPE AIR GOES GREEN

“When one tugs at a single thing in nature, he finds it attached to the rest of the world.”-John Muir

Cape Air’s sustainability initiative is rooted in a sense of community and a belief that each person has the power to make a difference. And when we all pull in the same direction, we can get a lot done.
We see opportunities to leverage our strong social responsibility and people-oriented ethic by integrating environmentally and socially regenerative practices into everything we do, though conservation, efficiency, investments in new technologies, purchasing decisions, and creative partnerships.

In May of 2012, Cape Air was awarded the 2011 Environmental Merit Award from the United States Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). The award recognizes the outstanding environmental advocates who have made significant contributions toward preserving and protecting natural resources.

SUSTAINABILITY PROGRAMS

RESULTS

We focus on sustainability projects that can make a difference, by reducing environmental impacts while creating value for employees, customers and host communities. We approach each project by relying on practical experience, establishing clear goals and actions, and monitoring progress.

Cape Air has never been just another airline. We are a company of firsts, and one with a deep sense of social responsibility. We see tremendous opportunities to reduce the environmental impact of our operations, and to help our employees and communities do that as well.”
